C. parva is the smallest wild Cryptocoryne known. C. x willisii has a domestic cultivar, ‘pigmae’ that is said to be shorter, but that doesn’t seem to always be the case. C. parva has stronger lighting requirements than most Cryptocoryne species. The leaves typically stay shorter than 6 cm, and are grass green without red or purple. It also has a very short, squat red spathe, only about 1.5 cm tall.
